Weddings
Let your story begin at Bogenšperk.
The Renaissance Bogenšperk Castle is located on the northern slopes of the hills of the Dolenjska region, along the main road connecting the Dolenjska and Zasavje regions, and is considered one of the most beautiful castles in Slovenia. As such, it is an ideal wedding location. Each couple married at our castle provide a special story for us, one that we start writing at our first meeting.
Wedding locations
Wedding ceremonies are performed outdoors, in the shelter of an avenue of linden trees, in a flower garden, in the Pod skal’co area, or in the Renaissance arcaded corridor, but they can also be performed in the privacy of the gallery tower or wedding hall.
Application process
A couple who decide to get married at Bogenšperk Castle register the wedding at the Litija Administrative Unit, then agree on the type of protocol with the coordinator of wedding protocols at Bogenšperk and fill out the wedding form, which is the basis for an offer and contract.

The protocol includes:
- renting, preparing and cleaning the space,
- reception and ceremony,
- musical accompaniment of the ceremony with a violin,
- basic flower arrangement or arch rental with floral decoration,
- option of taking photos in the castle and its surroundings on the wedding day or before (by arrangement)
- sparkling wine reception for the newly-weds and witnesses (opening of sparkling wine and serving),
- a symbolic gift from Bogenšperk Castle,
- the registrar and the civil servant who conduct the civil ceremony,
- event coordination.
Prices:
from €450 in indoor locations
from €720 at outdoor locations
If the ceremony takes place in the castle during the winter months, €50 is added to the price for heating costs.
