{"id":4410099,"date":"2026-08-10T14:29:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T12:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bogensperk.si\/the-pulse-of-buenos-aires\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T14:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T12:29:13","slug":"the-pulse-of-buenos-aires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bogensperk.si\/en\/the-pulse-of-buenos-aires\/","title":{"rendered":"The Pulse of Buenos Aires"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs\">On Wednesday,  <strong>August 19, at 8:00 p.m. <\/strong>  We cordially invite you to Bogen\u0161perk Castle for <strong>an evening of passionate tango rhythms<\/strong>: The Beat of Buenos Aires.<\/div>\n<div class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs\">The concert evening, part of the Bogen\u0161perk Festival, will be performed by the Odeon ensemble, which consists of young musicians trained at Europe\u2019s top institutions; their artistic director and conductor is local resident <strong>Samo Vidic.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs\"><br class=\"html-br\">In recent years, the Odeon Ensemble has taken shape through projects organized by the Youth Music Initiative and the Slovenian Youth Subscription Series. It regularly performs new works by young Slovenian composers, collaborates with young soloists, and organizes a variety of concerts throughout Slovenia. Looking ahead, the ensemble also aims to perform at a professional level and present significant works from all periods of music history.<br class=\"html-br\"\/>The ensemble flourished during the 2025 season, when, in addition to its established \u201cMusic of the Youth\u201d project, it also carried out the \u201cSMA Soloists\u201d project, in which it presented itself as a unified ensemble and brought to life the artistic vision of cellist Lenart Prek. To conclude the summer season, in collaboration with violinist <strong>Ma\u0161a Stopar<\/strong>, accordionist <strong>Teja Udovi\u010d Kova\u010di\u010d<\/strong>, and guitarist <strong>Jaka Klun<\/strong>, they performed a tango music project titled \u201cThe Pulse of Buenos Aires,\u201d which was conducted by <strong>Samo Vidic<\/strong> and performed in Koper and Radovljica, later recorded at the RTV Slovenia studio, and will be released on CD this year. At the end of the year, the ensemble, together with the Vokalna Akademija Ljubljana choir and under the direction of Lara Willewaldt, also performed a Christmas concert of sacred music titled *Na poljani, v temnem hlev\u010dku&#8230;* (In the Meadow, in a Dark Little Barn&#8230;), during which they also ventured into historical music performance for the first time.<br class=\"html-br\"\/>The Odeon ensemble consists primarily of young musicians trained at Europe\u2019s leading institutions.
