On Saturday, 20 September, we invite you to the traditional Valvasor’s Hike. The meeting point will be at the Bogen\u0161perk Castle car park at 9 am. From there, hikers will follow a circular route along the hillsides of the former Bogen\u0161perk estate: the \u010crni Potok, Lichtenberk, past the former Sela Manor and the remains of the Slatna Manor. As every year, the Litija Library will enrich the walk with additional content. This year’s theme, which will be presented on signs along the route, will introduce hikers to the Valvasor Cavalry, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2023, and this year marks 30 years since the members of the Cavalry founded the association to facilitate the planning and organisation of trails and journeys. <\/div>\n
The hike will be led by mountaineer Jo\u017ee Sinigoj, who<\/strong> also designed the Valvasor’s Trail.<\/div>\n
Length: 11 km (4 hours)<\/div>\n
Hikers will be able to register at the car park for a hot meal, which will be served by the Castle Terrace Tavern on your return to the castle.<\/div>\n
The event takes place as part of the Bogen\u0161perk Festival and is organised by the Municipality of \u0160martno pri Litija, the Litija Library and the Public Institute Bogen\u0161perk.<\/div>\n
